MOLECULAR ECOLOGY, BIODIVERSITY
AND DNA BARCODING
In the ME-Barcode group, we are broadly interested in the description and interpretation of the biological and ecological basis for the genetic diversity of natural populations and species over time and space. There are currently three main research topics addressed by our team:
1) Biodiversity research and Monitoring through (e)DNA (meta)barcoding;
2) Evolution and Comparative phylogeography of Aquatic Species at Regional and Global scales;
3) Development of Bioinformatics’ tools for Application in DNA barcoding and High-throughput sequencing-derived data.
